BOOM Collective have been appointed as building services design engineers on UK House. This Grade II listed building located at 180 Oxford St, is mixed use with retail on lower floors and multi tenanted office space on the 2nd to 7th floor. The development is undergoing a phased redevelopment that increases commercial office floor area by extending into existing light wells, constructing an additional floor on the roof and creates an additional retail unit in the basement from conversion of the existing building car park.

To enable these works, the building wide MEP infrastructure is undergoing a phased rationalisation that includes the reduction of the buildings carbon emissions by the adoption of new high efficiency plant and the use of on-site renewables.

The second-floor light well in-fill extension project that provides an additional 200m2 of lettable floor area was successfully completed in April 2017.
